SCOTT CREEK POTTERY – SC040 – TEST TILE DIE FOR 4″ MODELS

Making tests of your materials and recipes is critical in the studio. With the Scott Creek Pottery test tile die for 4″ models you can produce big runs of test tiles in just a few extrusions!

We make our Test Tile Dies for 4″ models from laser cut 1/8″ stainless steel for durability. Our test tile dies will work well with all types of clay, even porcelain. The test tile extrusion profile is 3.5″ tall and just over 1.5″ wide at the base and the die features a single knockout.

This is the same die design that we’ve been using for glaze testing for years. When paired with a 4″ extruder this die will produce one long extrusion. Once cut from the extruder, lay on your work surface and slice into the width you desire (we recommend approx 1.25″ wide – this size can dip into most glaze jars easily).
