The Clay Gun Blank Die is your launching point for creativity! This blank piece of aluminum just might produce your new favorite work of ceramic art or pottery. The Clay Gun Blank Die is designed to fit our Super Duper Clay Gun and our XL Clay Gun extruder models. Built to last a lifetime.

When designing a die shape you will want to ensure that you incorporate sufficient stress relief into your shape. For example if you want a spaghetti noodle sized extrusion, drill multiple holes instead of a single hole.

To make your own die shape start by plotting your die shape on paper. Then tape your design to your blank die. Drill starter holes into the aluminum before cutting with any type of saw or cutting wheel to refine the shape. Finish with a file to remove burrs.

Please use caution and wear protective gloves and eyewear when working with metal. For cutting the aluminum die you can use a variety of tools including a hand held drill or drill press, band saw, coping saw, rotary multi tool and also small files.
